Malitude questions

I would like to know the oil pump /pan configuration used on MALITUDE.
I'm going some what the same direction as this motor setup and considering a dry sump system. Looked like this car kept the intrnal oil pump. Thanks for any info.

It had an LS oil pump with an ATS wet sump oil pan and remote filter. It was not a dry sump.

Jody, do you remember where you got the hardware and washers you used on the car? I remember they looked great and were affordable...

Jody,

Apology for the perhaps stupid question, but how does that work? Does the LS pump pull oil from the pickup out of the pan through the filter and back into the engine from the input side of the pan fittings?

Ring Brothers for the fancy ones in the engine compartment.

Yes, it still uses an oil pump pickup tube in the pan. It elimnates the oil filter mount that the stock pan has so you get two #12 fittings (in/out) to run a remote oil filter. Autokraft has a pan that comes with a machined oil filter boss that bolts to the rear side of the LS block to keep a stock type filter in place and eliminate the need for a remote filter and lines.
