Speedway Splined Swaybar
I'm looking for anyone's experience with splined front sway bars. I have a 2nd gen Camaro and would love to see pics and specifications. My car is being built for road course use. Not sure how to determine bar length. Also, the Speedway mounts look pretty weak compared to others I've seen.

Hi Bill,
I have a Speedway set up going together but the arms are huge. Just waiting to see if I can have them machined down a bit. The way you measure them is you first measure the frame width at the location where you want it then add 3 inches to that measurment. The side bars take up 1 1/2" per side. |
Thanks for that info. What mounts are you using? Also, howmdid you select the bar rate?

sway bar choice would depend on application and trial and error. |

Vince, what size Speedway sway bar are you utilizing? |
According to the chart I am running a 1 1/4" .188 wall bar and is 35" in length. Might be a bit soft but we'll find out.
Im running this on a 70 Camaro. I moved the sway bar location forward 3 inches to clear everything and am running it in a frame support tube. |

I was mainly asking about the diameter. You mentioned big arms. On the 1-3/4" bars ... because the rates go so high ... the chromoly arms are very "beefy." |

Nice Papp, you guys know of any machine shops that can broach a piece of mild steel. Might have to try and make my own arms. Just need someone to cut a hole and spline it to the sway bar.
