New 6spd manual
Seems that there is a new 6spd manual coming up to go along with the 6spd auto. It will be interesting to see what it can hold up to :) .

Weird looking with no shifter on top..
I wonder if it's a Tremec unit?? |
I don't think Tremec has anything to do with it, it is supposed to share many components with the 6L80E and other 6spd autos :_paranoid .

putting a manual in "Park" will get some getting used to.

IT SOUNDS PROMISSING . I WONDER IF THE PLANETERIES  WILL HAVE CLUTCH PACKS LIKE A LENCO OR TRADITIONAL AUTO'S. IT WOULD BE A GOOD STEP IN MAKING A 6-SPEDD THAT WOULD HOLD UP TO BIG H.P. THE CLUTCH PACKS TEND TO CUSION THE GEARSETS A BIT. AND NO CLUTCH TO SHIFT YEE HA!

It looks like fun!
Bring on the Shrifter!!  tyoneal |
Um, that looks like an auto on every bit of the design. Has an oil pan, uses planetary gears, has no shifter, or linkage, and has a P in the gear pattern. I'm guessing an auto controlled by an electronic shifter that has a 'pattern' built into the unit so it seems like you are rowing gears. This might be manumatic at its finest, but a full manual trans this isn't.
That last line sounds like something Yoda would say. Screw it- the sentence stays. EDIT: I'm an idiot. One should read (not just look at the pretty picture) about the features in the .pdf before posting about it. /Moron mode off. Tyler |
