Help - GM power steering lines
So I've installed GM performance parts serpentine kit 12497697 which includes a power steering pump with the 16MM-1.5 o-ring connector. I've got the 11/16"-18 at the steering box. I've tried twice with the Russell 6AN lines using the adapters at each end.
Each time, the Russell PS lines have leaked at the compression fittings that are supposed to be leak-proof, LOL. I'm trying Earl's PS lines tomorrow if the parts arrive. Does anyone know of a stock line I can use for this application (help, GM Gurus!)? Otherwise does anyone know of 6AN PS lines that actually work? Thanks, Ron |

I always cut the hose and then peel the braided line back a bit so I can get a sharp straight razor blade on the end of the teflon only, and carefully cut it perfectly straight and perpendicular to clean up any roughness on the edge from cutting the hose. |
The US is weird lol try any shop in Canada they can make one for you or possibly sell you a metric fitting

Thanks, yeah I'm using the high pressure lines, I didn't straighten them up with a razor. Do you know if the farrel nuts are reusable? |

Swap out the o ring fitting in the power steering pump for a flare fitting from an older vehicle with flare style hose. then you can use a stock pressure hose.
