Couple LS Engines

Item Location (City/State): West Palm Beach, Fl

Price: $4000

Description:

1st Engine -
Brand New L77 engine. 6.0L with LS3 heads. engine was installed and filled with fluids, and during install of engine oil cooler, engine coolant quick connect plug was cross threaded in. they tried to remove the plug and straighten it, and the threads were pulled out. they tried to seal it unsuccessfully and replaced the engine again. that's when i bought it with intentions of looking for a tap or just welding the coolant plug hole shut. the hole is not needed for any vehicle besides on caprice to my knowledge. This engine is brand new, never fired, just fluids added. still has 8 qts of gm dexos in the pan. and some coolant still in the block. Asking $4000 plus shipping.

How negotiable are you? $4000 is a ton of money for a stock long block 6.0 that is used and has a fixing up to do.

I would say new more then used. It was bolted In and filled with oil and coolant. Never saw fuel and was never fired up. And the only fixing it needs is the plug hole to be sealed. Shoot me an offer

Pretty simple fix, I would weld a AN bung to the block like this

And plug it with this

-16 may be too large but this gives you an idea of what can be done and still leaves the ability to drain the coolant out of the block.
