give grumpy a call and tell him you want the "good "seals. Then use weatherstrip adhesive (black) on the lenses side. |
Dean,
I have the same setup as you. As Vince said, the OEM style molded gaskets work better than the foam ones, and I found kind of wiggling them into place makes them seat better. Another word of caution...on my car, the trunk weatherstrip leaks a little, and when it does, the water runs from the weatherstrip channel right onto the top of the taillight buckets. With the Digitail plastic push plugs, the water can run in & short out the boards. It may cause some of the LED's to glow faintly, or it can blow a board completely. I know this from experience. My fix was to get some black plastic caps at the local hardware store, & use black silicone to "glue" them over the top of the upper push plugs. It is not noticeable, and has made them waterproof. Enjoy the Marquez/ Digitail setup. I get lots of complements on mine. |
