LS3 radiator hose clamps and heater hose bypass?

Just wondering what you are using for upper and lower radiator hose clamps....something nicer than a regular worm-drive clamp! Also, I won't be running a heater. does anyone make a curved by-pass hose that is a different size on each end for the LS3?

....I meant "?" not "!"....oops. How do you choose the clamp size? Let's say that the installed hose has an outside diameter of 2". Do you choose a clamp that is 2-1.75 or 2.25-2?

The smallest one you can get to slide over the hose with it installed.

I used the factory style clamps that came on my LS they look better than worm clams

If I remember correctly, someone said that if you pull out the hose bungs in the waterpump, the holes that are left are the tap drill sizes for 1/2 NPT and 3/4 NPT. Then they installed allen head plugs in the holes. It looked really clean. You will have to search to find out for sure.

I thought that if the outlets were simply capped off there would be an air pocket trapped behind them?

I did this for NPT to AN adapters for my heater hoses, could just as easily put a pipe plug in there. No drilling needed, just patience with a pipe thread tap.

Dayco #87629 or Kelly-Springfield #S-4354. Not sure what the cross reference numbers are for Gates etc.
