What lugs to use (autocross)

I have been wondering since I run autocross quite often in my Elco and now my Chevelle if I should be using better lugs then I am right now? I have TSW wheels on both cars with hub centric rings. Have 3" 7/16 ARP wheel studs on the Elco and front of Chevelle, but 3" 1/2 studs in the rear. I am just using the 60 degree bulge acorn lugs. I have no problems as of yet, but know there are a vast variety of longer race lugs on the market and thinking I should upgrade?
Thoughts and ideas?

As long as you are getting good thread engagement.

You can trim those studs down too.

Just don't forget to torque them and check em frequently!! I re torque mine frequently on the Mustang and many times I get movement (meaning they needed torquing).

I have heard your nuts are often loose :buttkick:

That's what I figured. I torque to 100 ft lbs and recheck before every race.

Here's a little info from ARP:

ARP Wheel Studs - heat-treated 8740 chrome moly, tensile strength of 200,000 psi, sold in 4 or 5 packs, cadmium plated for extra durability, nuts not included
