T56 Reverse question
So my T56 isn't going into reverse it seems like it doesn't engage enough. Does the reverse solenoid need to be wired up?

YES!
To the brake switch. |

If you wire it to the brake switch every time you touch the brakes the solenoid will activate. It works but IMO not a good solution. You can pull a wire from the ECM and it will work off VSS or you can add a switch as I did I have mine wired to a button switch in the shift ball. http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=355737 |
I changed the spring to a lighter one, goes in with minimal effort now. Still enough resistance to avoid engaging reverse unintentionally.

I wired mine per kit instructions. :sieg: |

I would not install a weak reverse lockout spring, I would wire up the solenoid as it was intended. I also have my reverse solenoid wired to a line lock button on the shift knob.
