DSE Subframe and American Racing Torque thrust IIs

Has anyone used American Racing wheels torque thrust IIs and the 67-69 DSE Subframe? I have the z51 brakes and my current 17x8 4.75 bs torque thrust IIs hit the calipers. Help!!

Pretty sure you need an 18" wheel with Z51 brakes. It has nothing to do with to with your subframe. You might get away with base C5 brakes. Tobin has the fit templates for both on his Kore3 website.

Well I'm also wondering if a bigger rim can fit up front with a 255 tire. Also the reason I wonder about the back spacing is the wheel fits up to the bump in the hoop. If that was further in it might work.

The way the spokes are made I dont think they will clear the z51 caliper

Yea but what if you increase the pad?

I forgot to mention, that my calipers are touring classics so they have the corvette name milled flat.

Same as decreasing the backspacing. What is the backspacing and width of your current wheel?

I'm running 18x10 275s with a 6.6 back space on my DSE sub with C6 Z06 brakes. These wheels were ordered with a thick mount pad. Not sure if that helps you or not. But I can tell you that the 18x10 275s fit the fenders and inner wheel wells with no modifications.
