How to make DSE subframe connectors bolt in?
I have installed my DSE subframe connectors but don't want to weld the subframe to them because I may need to remove it or drop it to put a clutch in or something in the future. I know that Scott Gulbranson has done it but I am not sure of how he did it. Should I install crush tubes or cut the bottom out of the connector and weld nuts on the back side? If I put crush tubes in what material should I use? I would appreciate any help, I will be doing this tomorrow so I can remove the subframe and have it powder coated soon. Thanks.

I see how you did yours but I have cut the end of my subframe connectors so they are about 1/2" from the subframe itself and I will be welding the attaching ears from DSE tomorrow. Mine will have to be reversed from yours but I figured the easiest wat would be to just use a crush tube so the connectors don't crush in when tightened. I was just wondering how others had done theirs.
