best way to replace motor mounts?
 
Hello everyone..i was wondering what would be the best and fastest way to remove and replace motor mounts when engine is in car..sm350..Thanks

Use an engine hoist to hold the motor up while you replace the motor mounts one at a time.

Thanks Scott, i will work on it after work today..im trying to get my sons Camaro ready for a small car show Sat. we are helping with regis. and lucky enough i do have a small hoist..i will try that..thanks again..Chris

Engine hoist works great... another option is to cut a large piece of thick plywood (1" minimum) and use it and jack under the oil pan. Make sure the plywood covers the entire bottom of the oilpan or else you run the risk of denting it and changing pickup-to-pan clearance.

update..i replaced the linkage and the motor mount was bad on drivers side..i used the hoist..it was tuff getting that bottom bolt on..thanks for all your help
