I made a bracket with an adjustment screw and jam nut on the pedal assembly. Works great

Another option to using a pedal stop is to modify the pedal arm so that the pedal pad rests closer to the floor. This reduces clutch pedal travel but also makes the clutch easier to modulate.
I designed on of these pedals for my own BMW 325i Wagon in 2002 and used to sell them for other BMW's in a prior life. But the same principal will work on any car with a clutch pedal. http://www.bimmerworld.com/BMW-Inter...Series-07.html |
Here's mine, its adjustable and simply bolts to the firewall. Also incorporated a 02 f body safety switch.

@ rickpaw
This pic should show how I attached the switch mount. I got the switch tab from the donor car but one could be made fairly easily. http://i.imgur.com/zOyRHUOl.jpg It's a simple open/close switch. Plan is to just wire it inline with the starter solenoid. Testing with a meter it gets a closed signal very early while depressing the plunger. So hopefully I can fine tune the pedal stop without having to move the switch. |
Thanks Kevin.
