4l80e in a '69 camaro

Any mysteries here or is it straightforward?

Very close but does fit without surgery. You may have to slightly "clearance" the tunnel where the cooling lines come out for clearance; some do and some don't.

I agree. Cars with aftermarket clips where the engine is raised slightly to make room for the rack could require a bit more clearancing. We did a car with a 21st Century clip and half height body bushings. The trans tunnel at the "12 o clock" position needed some minor hammering. Some heat from a torch made the job cleaner and easier. Nothing major.

Also if it an early case, Russell 612000 fittings increase clearance for the cooler lines since they eliminate the need for pipe to AN adapters. The 90 degree fittings themselves thread right into the case.

Nothing major.

I'm looking into the 4L80e also. Does the 700R fit better? What do you meen buy afteramrket clips?
