Some questions about modifying A/C
 

So I'm foolishly diving back into my GMC Canyon that I've already spent WAY too much money on. My new turbo setup is ready to go in, but one of my A/C lines is right in the way. The way everything is laid out, I think the best route is to weld a 90* AN fitting at the bulkhead connection and then reroute the line for clearance.

My long winded question is, what are people using to make customer A/C lines? Do I just use normal AN lines and fittings, or should I use something else?

Look into the E-Z clip system. I used it on my car it works pretty good.

AN fittings won't work. You need an o ring seal.

There are weld on bungs available in aluminum and stainless to make up your own hardlines.

I used these conversion fittings on a vintage air bulkhead so that I could run AN fittings for my heater hoses. Might be an idea, they are from a company here in Canada called Mopac Auto Supply and they are sold under the Performance World brand.

I've used EZ Clip fittings as well for custom stuff. The fittings are steel (i.e. easier to weld) Check out Vintage Air for the basics and Hose Warehouse for the oddball stuff. HW has alot of neat stuff that will save you from having to make fittings.
