ABS Power Brake's Electric High Power Master Cylinders System
Building a '69 Firebird restomod.
Builder has recommended using a electric booster brake system primarily to cleanup the firewall and hide the booster. When I search Google the only system that shows up is the ABS Power Brake's Electric High Power Master Cylinders Brake System. It looks like the system has been around for awhile but i cannot find any recent reviews. Anybody out there using one and how's it working? Or is there another electric system? Thanks, Dave |
I have only done one. It worked fine for that car, it was a cruiser of a 61 vette.
A pressure switch failed in the first 500 miles and ABS just sent out a new one. |

We've used one of the ABS electric units before and had issues with some seals leaking. The bigger problem though, was that the car we used the kit on had a conventional 9" with fixed calipers, and there was enough knock back and deflection that you would use up all of the vacuum assist pumping the pedal back up, and you'd essentially be stuck with a 1-5/16" manual master cylinder that couldn't stop the car.
