**Car Purchased** - WTB Restomod 67-69 Firebird - LS preferred
Hey folks; longtime lurker, first time poster.
I’m in the market for a LS swapped firebird in the 67-69 year range; 69 preferred for personal preference but not critical. Car specific wants are manual over auto, actual metal roof, not vinyl. If y’all come across any in local craigslist, shows, or word-of-mouth, or even online i might have overlooked, i’d appreciate if you can pass the info on to me. I’m looking for a car that i can be be driven now but also worked on as i upgrade or change things. A close example(ish) of what I’m looking for sold at Mecum Las Vegas recently (Lot F159 if inclined to look up). It was 69 Firebird, body was rust free with decent paint, LS 3 swapped in, had C5 brakes and spindles, Dakota Gauges but otherwise original interior. Sold for 36k. Something about the basic sleepers look i like. Basically a strong base to start from if i wanted to customize interior or suspension later. Car needs to be running. Price range preferred is 35$-50$ thousand. Car would be shipped to SW US, but I’m open to a vehicle anywhere in the States. I could be convinced to consider other LS swapped vehicles in the same era, but my preference is the Firebird. Much appreciated… |
Forum member Tu had his car for sale, and I believe it may still be. It's a 67 and runs very well. Went to LS Fest with me in 2018!

As a 69 Firebird lover/owner myself, I just wanted to wish you the best of luck! If I see anything come up, I'll let you know.
2 guys in my local Pontiac club are looking for a 69 too, one is selling his restored 2nd gen to get one. They seem to be finally getting more desirable. |

There are a few shops that focus on Restomods / ls swap and other modern driveline swaps that seem to be quite popular and with solid prices for what you receive. I've spoken with them about completing a firebird and they all have told me they're not interested in Firebirds; even if I was paying it up front. Hopefully they'll also start to see the interest in time. |

A Firebird has been purchased.
I'm in the process of purchasing a 67 Firebird from someone i saw a while back. It does not have the LS yet, but it exactly what i'm looking for otherwise and i'll complete the swap myself. When it's in my possession and the project starts, i'll post pictures. Thanks all for the private messages and leads. |
Congratulation! Very nice, can't wait to see future pictures of it. Good luck.
