Sound level of exhaust dumping before axle vs. rear
Currently have my exhaust dumping out before the axles and really looking for something a little quieter. Does is make a difference in sound level if you extend the exhaust to the rear of car? I installed QTP mufflers (http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/screamer/) hoping I'd get a quiet muffler that I could open up for more sound, so I've got too much invested to swap out for another muffler at this point.

So you're currently running the Screamer mufflers with dumps and even in quiet mode it's too loud? Just making sure I understand you correctly.
In general, yes, running the exhaust out the back versus dumps will make things quieter inside with no other change. |

Thanks for the feedback, I'll try extending to the rear and see if it helps. |
You could also add resonators to the pipes that you take all the way back to kill even more noise and drone.

x2 or high flow catalytic converters up front. Magnaflow and others make universal performance cats that won't take away power. They will help control the noise though. Good luck!

Are resonators more effective before or after the muffler?
I've seen it both ways, just wondering if there's a benefit of doing it one way or another. |

Tailpipes all the way to the back will definitely reduce the in cabin noise. I prefer the dumps because I don't care to talk to my kids.
But I get it.... do the tail pipes... then if still loud, do a larger case muffler setup. |
Use a balance tube as well.
