Protecting door Jams, rockers from rust.
Not PT related but hoping its relevant. I have a GMC 1500 and live in the north east where roads get treated with salt. Rust is a problem ..
I was planning to trade in my 2017 soon but now I am thinking I might have to keep it indefinitely. Curious if anyone has a product recommendation .. ceramic coating or corrosion product. that might actually work.. door jams and rockers seem to be a common rust spot on pickups.. |
Do you mean they just rust there in general or they typically rust from the inside? I'm not following 100% but Eastwood make this internal frame rust encapsulator setup that's cheap and looks easy to use for better protection.

Both 3m and wirth make a cavity wax . It's not an oil that makes all dirt n crap stick to it, or in the summer heat the oil drips everywhere. It's a spray wax that drys ,leaves a film ... Google it

https://i.postimg.cc/nsBpYCtc/MP-HD.jpg Made with special rust and corrosion inhibitors. Excellent on metal surfaces, leaves a long-lasting protective coating. Protects against the effects of salt, moisture & chemical corrosion. Works as an undercoat, leaving a wax-like amber film. https://amsoilcontent.com/ams/images...H_barstock.jpg |

It will leave the film on both. The paint has the metal sealed but if you have unprotected metal then this will protect the exposed metal.
