335 front tires possible?
Hey everyone,
Been refreshing myself on suspension for my 67 camaro recently. I've been trying to figure what subframe I want to run; likely Speedway G-comp Unser or TCI. Anyways it seems as though a 315 is very doable with just rolling the fender lips. Running 335 square is obviously advantageous over a 315 front/335 rear setup. Does anyone out there run a 335 front? |
Of the people I know of that have done it, at least half of them have gone back to 315. The ones that are happy with the 335 have a lot more going underneath than an off the shelf aftermarket subframe.
Something else to consider. There is exactly one 335 out there that is 200TW and legal to run for most of these events. |

Why do you want a 335? Where will the car operate the majority of the time?

I think the biggest deterrent for going 335 would be where the difference in tire is "added". As in if the centerline/contact patch doesn't remain in the same location, the scrub radius will likely be moved in an undesirable direction.

335 tire
My experience is the Bridgestone re-71re tires are the best
Tire for a 200 rated tire you can buy. Largest tire in an 18" Tire is the 285. My option better than a 315 other brand tire I have run these with a dot road race tire zero wear rating out back and seemed like a zero rated dot tire in front My 2 cents Bob Benson |
