What is the best AutoX Track Front Suspension 1st Gen FCar

I am building a 1968 Camaro for CAM T, GoodGuys and Optimia events. The car will see limited street use. 98% Track 2% street. What is the best complete front suspension/subframe to use?

Thank you for your comments!

I don’t know all options out there.
Detroit Speed makes a great subframe package which is top of the line.
Is this an LS application?

The engine is a NA LS7 being built by one of the top builders

The first question is what is your budget and time line as swapping a subframe under takes time.

DSE, RideTech, QA1 and SpeedTech all sell bolt on kits which is more then 95% of most people's need or can actually use to it's potential. Personal I would stick with a true bolt on kit as you will be able to do 90% of the kits in a week or less.

If you are building a dedicated car from scratch and really want top performance for autoX Speed Tech Extreme with the torque arm is a great choice, room for really big tires up front. DSE with their 4 link would be my second choice, a bit less room for tires up front but a great package. That's my opinion, worth about $0.25

Thank you for the advice!

You definitely need an aftermarket subframe on a First Gen Camaro. You can't fit a decent size front tire under stock fenders with a factory subframe. DSE & Speed Tech, are good. I'm using the Art Morrison and find it easy to tune/work around. The DSE rear suspension on a first gen uses short shocks so there's not much room to lower the rear below their design height. Their second gen setup is better.
