DSE Dash Insert help
I was wonder what people are using to cut the holes for the gauges. I was thinking of using a jigsaw but I'm afraid it may bind on the 2-1/16 in. holes and warp the panel. Scott Gulbranson does a write up on it but didn't say how on the holes. I could call DSE but figured I would ask her first. Thanks Todd

Use a hole saw to cut the main holes and then a dremel to finish them. I would fasten it down good and use some wood for backing when cutting.

I used a 2" hole saw, then finished up the openings with a small sanding drum. Worked great.

If you want coolness, you can have them water jetted for precision.

Hey thanks guys. I will have to check into the hole saw. I think the water jet would be out of budget, I want to do it myself and save the dough. Besides if I "F" it up I can just be mad at myself, but if someone else did I may choke 'em.

My 5" memory autometer tach had a smaller hole than my 5" speedo
