Quadra Link Question
Guy's,
I need to know how the lower bar (the one that ties into the front leaf spring pocket) is mounted there. I need to know if the bar is centered on the bushing or if it offsetted? I look at pictures (and none shows it clearly) and it looks to be bushed from the outside, giving more room for the tires on the inside. Thats what i need, i considered the air bar seriously but the bushing is centered and i don't get much more space than the leaf because of that. I could unweld and move the bar but ART says not a good idea....They should have tought about that while building their system... Anyway, i need to take a decision. I'm now back to my first idea suspension wise, the Art Morrisson Tri-4 bar (half price at that!) if the Q-link doesn't provide the space needed. Thanks for any help/ pics would be great. Lead |
The Quadra Link has the bushing on the outside. There should be plenty of room for your tires. I'm running 345/30-19s with no problem.

Thanks Jeff!
So the bar "IS" mounted offsetted then. I'm running 345 25 20's (14.1") they should be the same. What is the Bar Bushing/ spacer bushing ratio (is the bar bushing taking like half the space and the spacer the other half?) Any pic? So many thanks! Lead. |
The billet aluminum bushing is about an inch wide (IIRC).

Hey Scott,
Thanks, so i would get an inch of space (Good!) + the remaining space to the bar (assuming the bar is not the same width as the bushing) otherwise to the width of the bushing. That sounds good. If anyone has a pic it would still be cool, but it sounds interesting enough. I should get the car back this week... I'll be able to make final measurements then. Lead. |
You'll have a ton of space since the lower quadra link bars are much narrower than a leaf spring.
Here's the only pic I have that shows the spacer in the leaf spring pocket: https://lateral-g.net/temp/qlinkparts.jpg |

exactly what i needed!!! Now i really "See" where i'm going. 'Guess Q-Link is now my next buy.... I could run it with shockwaves still.... Thanks Scott! Lead. |
