rear upper shock mount questions
im redoing my rear end and installed slide a link traction bars.
my 69 camaro has staggered lower shock mounts and I want to install lower shocks inboard the springs. passenger lower shockmount will not install other that to the rear as the drivers side. So both lower shock mounts are facing to the rear. will the comp engineering uppershock mount crossmember work for this? or will I need to fab a whole new upper shockmount bracket? pics: http://webpages.charter.net/harrycoo...%20(Small).JPG http://webpages.charter.net/harrycoo...%20(Small).JPG http://webpages.charter.net/harrycoo...%20(Small).JPG |
The CE crossmember will work, but keep in mind that it will decrease clearance to the top of the rear as well as tailpipe clearance. The DSE crossmember, on the other hand, fits above the framerail height--not between the frame rails. Clearance, in my case, is a real problem because I run 3" drop springs with the CE crossmember.
