winter projects done
5 Attachment(s)
As spring is here, I thought I'd throw up an update on my winter's mods.
Thanks to the violent exit of the driveshaft at the dragstrip last fall, I have a new 8.5" posi rear, alluminum driveshaft, and slide-a-link traction bars. Thanks to an out of control camber situation that trashed the inside edge of my Eagle F1's, I got G/W lower arms & SC&C adjustable uppers and some hotchkiss springs. Wile I was detailing underneath, I found some rust, which led to buying and learning to use a welder, replacing one side of the floor, and welding on a set of Hotchkiss SFC's. While the exhaust system was off, I cleaned it and painted it, and lost the flow 40's for a set of Borlas (they sound soooo sweet!) And... I can finally stop, thanks to a full set of Wilwood disk brakes! Here's a lil eye candy: |
very nice work Jim!

Did you paint your rear rotor hats black? I think I am going to do that with my Wilwood rotors.

Thanks Jody!
Yea, I didn't want em rusting in there, so I just masked em off and shot em with some rustoleum 7777. |
Great job Jim!!!

Thanks Anthony. With real brakes I think I finally qualify for the PT club, tho she ain't nuttin like some of the projects you guys got going.
Here's a couple shots of the whole car. These were taken before I put the hotchkiss springs on, the 4x4 look is gone now, front is 2" lower. |
Yep, you're in the club now!!
Very clean car! Love the house too!! Your car is a perfect reminder of what protouring is all about, updated American iron! Have fun with it this summer!! :)

the thing that caught my eye Jim, is how neatly organized and detailed the car is. It doesn't cost much if any more to do this, and yet really makes a car stand out. Many people miss that when they put a car together.
