Mobil 1 isn't what it use to be. The tree huggers have made them pull out most of the stuff that made it good. It's the same with any commercial oil. Companies can get exemptions for "Racing Oils" and this is the case with Torco.

But racing oils do not have the same additive package that you need on the street, don't they? I.e. detergents, anti-wear, dispersants, friction modifiers, rust inhibitors etc. Race motors certainly have different needs in oils; I'm not sure I would run a race oil on a street motor.
