I've gotten real interested in Navy, submarines in particular. American or Russian, modern Nuclear subs.

Is it possible to view them (just from the outside) at military Naval bases? I can't seem to find any info online. There is a sub base in WA state that is not too far from me.

Anybody recommend any good books, or videos on modern Nuclear subs?

BTW: I am Canadian, so I am not sure how that would affect visiting a base, if you even can?
