The longer the side arm the more leverage it has to twist the sway bar(That makes for a softer bar) .The shorter the arm the less leverage it has.(That makes for stiffer bar).The more ajustable the car is the easier it is to sort out.Soft rear bar tight car.Stiff rear bar loose car.So you are right.
