Just info on the above. As the exhaust exits the body work on indy cars (dallara this year) it exits thru a removable/replaceable carbon insert. It's removable because at the end of the race the resin has all burned away and most teams pitch them in the trash. But since they are 700 bucks each, are serialized and have a RF tracking tag installed in the part so you can't replicate them yourself (or sell them cheaply to others) - some teams will attempt to soak the area with resin, vacuum bag the part and refinish the part to be reused. I have no experience with F1 cars in this situation. Not arguing with anyone - just trying to be helpful to the OP. Thx and let us know how it goes !
