You may be wasting your time narrowing the rails with that 4link. The lower bar will be the limiting factor in getting more tire under the car, not the wheel tub. You could leave the frame rails alone and a 295 might clear the lower bar with only a 2" deeper tub instead of the full 3".

I'm installing the DSE minitubs, and the instructions call for removing the stock frame rails and weld in the new rails, which in turn changes the interior width between the rails.
So I can either modify the Ridetech cradle, or narrow/reinforce the stock frame rails (which CJ Pony did to their 65 fastback SEMA car). CJ Ponny also moved the lower bar mounting points inward as well.
