That oil temp is surely too cool. This makes a very good point though. You could downsize the oil cooler, at the same time, you aren't adding that thermal load to your cooling system. I would guess that you don't have piston squirters.....

I don't want to take over this thread with a bunch of technical talk, but am very interested in continuing the conversation....I'll start, or find another cooling thread somewhere else later
