I’ve been fighting this motor for years and I have finally decided to send it to the junkyard.

This would be engine oil that leaks every time I start it.
More trans fluid going to waste.
Pulling the pretty pan off and plan to install a stamped steel pan.
Important pictures when your memory sucks.
Just making sure everything is plugged in.

Finally shortened this vacuum line.
When you have memory issues you need to take pictures of everything.
You have no clue how hard it was finding this little plastic cover.
I had to spin the jack around so I could support the motor when we remove the transmission.
Shocking we only spilled a little bit of trans fluid.
Daughters how and Remy can finally go in the house.
Love this crossmember from G-Force.
And it’s out !!
I’m still on the fence as to what I should do with it !

MJ,
I’m very sorry to hear that as well.
Thanks for updating us though.

So the trans is garbage and the Wagner motor is also junk. It’s leaking everywhere and the hypothesis is the a few of the rings are bad or broken.
I am going to pull the trans and give it to a different trans shop to look at it. Even though the I plan to buy a new engine and transmission.
If you look way back in the beginning of the build I used this set up to get the trans out.
Since the trans pan is beautifully powder coated I am going to put a stamped steel pan on for removal.

2nd Chance Camaro
Marty,
I hear you on the leaking... in my shop the boys say
all my cars leak... some way more than others.. no fun
My last pantera engine we found out that Quench on the motor
too tight, pistons too loose in the bores so a lot of blow by
It basically blew out any gasket on the engine
Going to use Moroso evac system on the new build
similar to what Drag racers use with a check valve
Like using a Vac pump but no room in my Pantera engine
bay for a real Vac pump
Hopefully you get this resolved as LS engines are not suppose to leak
Bob
