Default front drop for 2-gen firebird

Any suggestions for lowering the 2-gen firebird front to the same level with DSE minitub 2"drop kit?

my alternatives currently are
1. drop spindles
2. cutting the springs
3. no pressure on front tires :-)

Seems quite difficult to find the drop spindles though. I guess Heidt's make those? Any others?

you forgot the 4īth option, front tire delete, or you could mount some 195/45-15 front tires...

seriously id considder some ATS spindles, half height bodymounts (solid of course) or eibach springs.. or any combination of the above

Thanks deuce_454.

I would also prefer the ATS's AFX as it supports C5/C6 brakes, but do you/anyone know if the AFX spindle is allready available for 70-82 Firebird/Camaro?

In their web pages it says the they are under development (in the AFX FAQ)

I used Fat Man Fabrication (http://www.fatmanfab.com/) 2" dropped spindles, 1 1/2" narrowed upper and lower tubular control arms with Carrera coil overs... Front wheel/tire size is a 17x8 1/2" w/ 285/45/17.

thanks a lot 70gotboost!

Just placed an order for those spindles. They had a few set on stock so I should have them in days.

I also called ATS and they were not happy with their current phase of development of the 2-gen spindles (bad bumbsteer/no improvement for stock etc) and guessed that it might take a year or so to have it ready for delivery. :-(
