Default Throwout bearing for TKO600????

Here's my first hurdle in switching my factory automatic '70 Camaro to a 5 speed. I have the Tremec TKO600 5 speed, part #5008 (Ford), using the Lakewood #15030 bellhousing (converts the Ford TKO600 to Chevy block). I am also going with mechanical linkage. I purchased the Centerforce #N1716 bearing, not thinking the trans is the Ford version, and it doesn't fit.

Now to the question...

What throwout bearing do I use?? I've searched the net with no results...

I thought the input shaft had to be swapped out for it to mate to the Chevy motor as well...I would call classic chevy5speeds and talk to the tech guys...You might have bigger fish to fry than a throw out bearing.

UPDATE: I'm guessing after 50+ views and no solid leads other than 'fluid power' (thanks by the way) either.. #1) it was a dumb question, #2) no one knows which throw out bearing to use, or #3) no one cares??!!!

Anyway I swapped the N1716 bearing for a N1714 (Ford) and it works like a charm. I wanted to update this thread just in case anyone else was going this route so they know which part numbers to use.

Curiosity has me wondering, what does the pilot look like on the main drive gear, did you have to get a special pilot bearing to fit in the bore of the crank and fit the pilot?

Mcleod makes a nice adjustable bearing part # 16505, its set up with aluminum adjustment rings that slide off to adjust the length of the bearing, not sure if it would have fit over the bearing retainer on your trans(ford style). It appears that you found a suitable choice anyway.

Lakewood is notorious for mis alligned bells. Be sure and dial indicate the center bore for concentricity to the pilot.
