Air Ride...please help.
A friend has a Air Ride Shockwave system running in a newly "completed" 50 Chevy. It was working fine until today.
Pass side rear is not inflating at all, we can hear the switch trip for lowering the car. It doesn't seem to be a leak. Connections look good and there doesn't seem to be any grounding issues. Could it be a bad solenoid?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

as long as the all the wiring 's correct, I'd de. check out the solenoid. Chances are that its not the computer as well

try swapping rear air lines to confirm if it is a bag problem or solenoid problem.

I was thinking of trying that, but didn't want to tear into it if someone had experienced this before. We'll give it a shot tonight. Thanks!

Could be a number of different problems.....usually wiring. First step is to see if you have any power coming from the ecu. on the If you look at the valve harness at the ECU it will be the black wire on the bottom row. Disconnect that harness and see if any power is coming from the ECU.

I think we'll need a little more information on this.
What compressor/control system is in the car? Does it use analog gauges and manual switches, or is it a digital control system?
If it is digital what does the display panel/user interface look like?
Does the battery have a decent charge? (the easiest way to check this, is to start the car. When the engine is running, the alternator is putting out 14.4V. Don't count on a battery charger. A running engine with a good alternator is the best solution to low voltage issues.)
When the RR will not inflate, will any other corner inflate? (We are checking tank pressure with this test. If you have low tank pressure, no corner will inflate. If the tank pressure is good, the other corners will inflate with no issues.)

Well, after that hiccup of the system not working, it seemed to fine throughout the rest of the week.
It's actually an AID brand product, not the Air Ride brand (don't know the reliability/quality of this brand). Analog gauges, rocker switches, plenty of battery charge, all other corners inflate fine. Sounds like a bad switch to me.
Thanks!
