Default backspace advice on 71 chevelle

I'm looking to put 18x8 with 5" backspace on the front of my 71 chevelle will this look right? I'm putting 18x10 with 5inch b/s on the back... probably billet specialties vintec with the soft lip. Thanks

I think you should get 9x18 in the front instead of 8x18.

You can run a 8" up front easy with a 4.75" backspace, the 9" will work also with a 265, with a 5.75".

We are billet specialties dealers, if you are interested or need a quote, let me know.
