Default Special Anniversary Stang>> It's Done!(or close enough)

This project actually started with the model club I am in. We all have 10 months to build the same kit. This year we have the new Mustang. Since someone (OK, Saleen) already took my first idea, I decided to go a little different route. You can still see my influence. I can see Ford doing this as they will probably run this style for a while, and the original, as I have heard, were made from left over 69 parts. What better way to stretch a buck. Below are the early sketches I did (still have to fix that front tire), then below that is the newest photo I have of the build. I am farther along now, but I will have to get more photos. It has been pretty fun. I just need to figure something out for the grill.
Sorry if I posted this here already. I tried to go back and look for it, but I didn't find it.

Thanks for looking.

Mike,

Great concept sketch. I do like the Idea of filling in the back windows and stretching out the existing opening...much like the early '70's 'Stangs.
I gives the appearance of a longer, sleeker car.

Thanks for sharing.

Looks like you have a great blend of my personal favorite Mustang generation. I like the way you're thinking. The sketch really describes a lot of cool mods and the model looks killer!

Thanks for the input. I have to have the model done by December 6th. It is going well, except for the grill. I really like the look of the rear quarter windows. I think it looks much better than the original ones. The 70 really grew on me. I found out that after I put the lip on the rear where it looked good, there was no room for the spoiler. I would love to make some rear window louvers, but I don't think I will have the time. I'll try to post picks if I get it done.

Well, here it is December, and I think I have this one about wrapped up. These are from last night when it was about 98% done. There are several little things that still need done. I have already repositioned the air intake tubes (as the fit was hidious) and attached a manufacturer plate to the rear. It could have been better, but it is just going to sit on my shelf.
