I'm wondering the same. I'm going with an 18' front on my 69. Whats the widest rim and correct backspacing?

18x8 up front with a 4.875" backspace will work up front.
Rears should be 9" or 9.5" with a 5.25 or 5.5" backspace.

Hope that helps. These are proven fitments for stock track width camaros.

My experience on these cars is with 17's and Jon is right,4.75"-4.875" front b/s on an 8" front wheel and 5.5" b/s on a 9.5" rear wheel is perfect.
A safe tire selection is 245/45's on the fronts and 275/40's for the rear but every car is different so you must measure first.
