Default hours to paint a 2 tone

Even though it usually take 230 to 250 hours, We charge 200 hours AFTER sheetmetal and rough in bodywork (After quarter seams, patches, dents, roughed in 80%) for paint. Two tones will only add up to 8 hours

Default Hourly rate for paint

is there a different hourly rate for paint jobs or is it the same as regular shop rates? What's an average shop rate?

Depends on what part of the country you are. here in Florida your looking at $50 to $80, we are $60. In Cali, $80 to $100+, Back woods of Tenn, $30 to $40?

Plus materials Kevin. That is just hours. There is no way to trim it, a car will take 5 to 6 man weeks to ready for paint, paint, buff, detail, etc after sheetmetal. We just did a car from sheetmetal to paint in 11 days, it is all on video. Taht 11 days was 2 1/2 guys working 50 hours a week, and then another man week to sand and buff, trunk renew, under body, etc.

there is a little bit of in efficency in having people triping over one another, so the total hours are a little more then one guy doing it, but are still right in that 200 to 250 range
