Default Toyo Proxes R888s

For Sale:

Toyo Proxes R888 – all tires have approximately 100 miles on them and are in excellent condition:

Fronts 255/35-18 (pair)
Rears 315/30-18 (pair)

I would like to sell them as a set if possible but will separate (pairs) if need be.

Asking $1000 for the set plus shipping.

I am in Calgary but the tires will be in the San Marcos, CA area second week in March for pickup or delivery.

Somebody must need some nearly new skins - help a guy out here... I hate that I have to change them out to run at Goodguys but them are the rules.

You know what you need to do.. buy a spare set of wheels.

Although it's ironic that my track wheels have harder tires than my street wheels.. lol

Yeah... thanks for the idea Steve... that's exactly what I need to do.

It is ironic though that our "track tires" need to be nearly 3 times harder than our street tires.

Someone please buy these nice, sticky, nearly new, almost famous tires so I can please put some hard rubber bricks on and go racing!

I will trade you the tires for taxi cab services, spare bed room lodging, with vehicle storage privileges, and maybe a greasy breakfast or 2. In this economy that is pretty good offer. The country fried steak is pretty big portions around here.....

You know what I will even throw in Dog Co-pilot privileges.....

How much for the rears (delivered in Santee, CA plz!)? Have they been heat cycled on track or just street driven?
You can check out some cool projects when you drop them off so thats a rebate coming right there.

Well I will answer for James.. I know he ran them in the Optima Challenge but other that that I don't think he has any track miles on them

The R888s don't degrade through heat cycles like other "race" tires, it's one other thier bigger benefits. I know mine don't

I love mine, would run them in everthing if it wasn't for goofy rules requiring hard, slippery, tires.

Well that is really tempting buddy but the flaw in the idea would be the lack of tires once the car got there... no tires... no hammering...

I can't see shipping to Santee being much and depending on your timing I might be able to drop them off (or have them dropped off). I'll PM you a price on just the rears but in all honesty, I need to sell the set to make this work for what I need. Someone has to need some 255's... pretend I called them rears and think about your daily driver....

And thanks Steve - that is exactly correct. The tires have about 50 miles of street driving, a week sitting on nice warm carpet at SEMA, fifteen laps or so at Pahrump on the road course and three very slow autocross laps. Then a few months in heated storage and a few days at a car show... they are literally like new.

I too am falling victim to strange rules requiring too hard, slippery tires tires and these truly awesome tires have to go.

TTT

I've had some tire kickers (lol) but no commitments. These will be in California next week but if they aren't sold by March 9th... well... they'll be a little bit more used.
