Default I Hate Yellow!!!

It has got the one the worst colors to paint... it just doesn't cover! and I even put white down first!

Welcome to yellow. Just don't dig yourself into a hole. Make sure you are not starting and stopping at any gaps. Eyes always look to the gaps. Big mistake collision shops make, repaint to the end of the panel rather than blend. Also don't paint close to your work. Make sure you know your gun and be able to reset your gun's settings on the fly. Know your fan control. Paint the parts on the car. Jamb first of course.

Did you lay down a white sealer, or you trying to go over gray or something else? What paint are you using?

Yeah yellow sucks, was one of the bigger problems we had at my last job. White helps but sometimes more coats are needed. Some greens are like this too.

What brand paint??? Some times the cheaper paints are to thin to begin with(THATS WHY THERE CHEAPER) How are you reducing it ? If for example you have a 1to1 mix I sometimes will make it 1 to .5 keeps the paint a little thicker for better coverage. I use white sealer or I will tint my sealer yellow . Never have any problems!

At where I worked we Sikkens and it sucked for yellow and we even had an onsite rep to help us, they were constantly reformulating it to get coverage, on the otherhand at my own shop I use PPG and painted a truck 10 yrs ago in Concept single stage and it still looks even sitting in the junk yard.
