Default Thinking about starting a parts company.

While building my 68 Camaro Im starting to think about parts that I would like to have on the car that no one has made yet. So Im thinking about starting a company to make parts for muscle cars. Parts would be made out of CF and Billet. What do you guys think? What would you guys like to see made?

Are you asking what do we think about you starting a company? or is this something you are going to do and now you want to know what parts to pmake?

you know those are being made already. I only say that because you mentioned doing stuff nobody else is doing.

There is a market for custom stuff.

With the wide variety of aftermarket parts available today,
It seems as if there are very few new horizons. Engines, suspensions and brake systems have all been done and companies like marquez and others are doing very high quality work on the shiny bits. The only area that hasn't been scratched too hard....yet involves weight loss for the cars. More carbon fiber and titanium parts should be the next logical progression as owners seek to put their rides on a diet to get every last ounce of performance out of them and to try and acheive that perfect 50/50 balance.
That's my opinion. Good Luck with your venture !!

Yeah that was just a trial, or should I say mold I dont want to post something that Im thinking about for fear that someone might think its a good idea I want to make 100% sure that Im moving forward before posting that stuff. As of right now I have about six thing I want to start with. I guess I need to just stick my neck out and do it! I would add the billet stuff just as a sort of bonus to cover all areas of the market.

Have you or do you work with carbon? Have any pics of past parts you have made? Not asking to see the 'ideas' you have...just anything else to see the quality.

As you probably already know there's at least three companies that are offering billet already.

Best of luck to ya!!

I think its always great to see some new parts that are developed however keep in mind that with these tough financial times for some, you may find it to be a hard market to break into. I am sure if you have some cool ideas they will have no problem selling. Good luck and the vents look pretty cool.
