Default Plan my suspension!!!!

Ok so I am a little curious to as some use tall ball joints and some use tall spindles with tall ball joints? Im confused because i am trying to plan out my suspension and trying to get some info. I will utilize the stock sub and I have hotchkis lowering springs. I am going with scc uca's, now should I get tall spindles, tall ball joints, or both?

Is this a tall spindle? I found these but they say 2" lowering

This is a tall spindle from Heidts and its 2" lowering

Stick with the ATS AFX Spindle. You'll be glad you did. (You can get them from Marcus @ SC&C)

the tall AFX spindle offers much improved bearings in the form of C5 bearing packs and late corvette brakes, so the 200 bucks more you will spend on a set of ATS spindles will be recovered times 2 or more when you buy brakes... corvette brakes from ex: touring classics are 800 ish and the same PBR style brakes from bear for the old style spindle will run you twice that amount....

besides its a lighter spindle and the geometry is spot on...

In that case use your stock spindles and get the SC&C tall ball joints. Have you called Mark at SC&C? He's very knowledgeable and very helpful.

The top picture does not appear to be a tall spindle; the Heidt's spindle does. The potential issue with a drop spindle (both of the spindles you pictured) is often outer tie rod to wheel interference. The Heidt's site says:

Remember that even though it is a direct bolt-on part, a Dropped Spindle is a different design spindle and compatibility of mating parts is the responsibility of the installer.
You might also call Heidt's and see what they say. They are, apparently, trying to be more pro-touring oriented.

Thanks for your help, I am just trying to get more educated upon this subject. I just want the optimal geometry with using my stock sub.
