Default MSD box with Fast XFI or not ?

I just bought a Fast XFI for my motor. 454 SBC stroker 600hp. My shift point is 6600 rpm. Will I gain anything with an MSD 6A box and this system? I was thinking the 6A because I don't need the rev limiter , the XFI will take care of that. I plan on using a Fast dual sync distributor. The car will be 99.9% street driven but I'm in over my head already so I might as well do it right the first time.

Another question is . I have 42 lb injectors (Their used but I will have them cleaned and checked) they should work for my engine ,but I was told be a tuner around my area. He would rather see 48 or 50 lb injectors on my motor. I was wondering what the opinions on this board were about it? Can I boost my pressure up or just get the bigger Fuel injectors? My pump is capable of 95 psi.

I started getting my fuel system together. I have a Weldon 1100A pump 135gph/0-95 lbs with aeromotive 100 and 10 micron filters and an Aeromotive 13109 fuel regulator . I'm going to run 10AN hard lines from an aeromotive sumped stock tank to a Y and bring the hose down to 8AN to the rails then 8AN to the regulator and 6AN hose to 6AN hard line back to the tank. Opinions welcome
Thanks Wayne

My 427 SBC (Dart block) with Imagine Injection 8 stack intake -- uses 42 lb injectors... and runs like a rapped ape...

I'm running -6 lines to the rails and regulator... and for the return.

I'm running 40 #'s of pressure.

Forgot about the MSD box question --

I just helped a buddy with his FAST XFI -- Imagine Injection 8 stack 454 BIG block - using a MSD 6 box -- works FANTASTIC....

We used the FAST to control max rpms... so the MSD has to have a chip that is a higher rated rpm.

My Accel Gen 7 EFI will control FUEL shut off and on... not sure if the Fast works that way or not -- I don't do the tuning part!

I've always used and recommended MSD stuff. Just recently I started using some Mallory boxes. I also have a FAST XFI system. I was pricing parts when setting up my 440 Dakota and discovered that I could get a Mallory box with more features dollar for dollar when compared to MSD. I was originally going to use a 6AL box, but opted for a Mallory Mallory Hyfire IV digital box. I believe i set the rev limiter in the box a bit higher than the XFI limiter, just as a back up. I went with this box instead of one with no rev limiter because I can use it as a spare for other cars if needed. I went with a Mallory distributor and coil too.

Default Msd 6a

I just picked up an MSD 6a ignition box to use with my Fast XFI. Got a good deal on it $130. I can't wait to get my car back to get started on it.

People tend to forget what MSD stands for... MULTIPLE SPARK DISCHARGE...
This multiple strike below 3000 rpm (I think that's the number) works... Now make sure to use a GREAT coil!

None of this stuff is worth a damn without a GREAT COIL! That's where the juice gets juiced. LOL

Default Coil and TB

I'm going to be looking for a coil . Any sugestions on which coil. I think the 8250 and 8252 work with the 6 series boxes.
I have a 4500 series Fast 2000cfm throttle body I was going to try to use . I know its kind of big , so this morning I was online and found a brand new Fast 4150 TB for at a good price. When I called he still had it so now I have both the 4500 and a 4150 TBs . The 4150 flows 1375 cfm so I think its good to go.
OK just checked the 8250 is for HVC box only.

Wayne -- either of those two coils will work just fine! Those are "PROPER" coils...

I'm always amazed at the folks that buy a new MSD distributor - a MSD 6 - high dollar plug wires - and a $12 coil...

EEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Good find on the TB too by the way!
