Default Need help with wheel selection and stance

I've found some BMW wheels that should fit my Cutlass. They're 18x8 fr and 18x9.5 rr. Of course the backspacing won't work. I'll either lengthen my axle tubes or buy a ford 9 to fit. My main thing is how to make my wheels fit my car, stancewise. I've seen many a camaro with the right wheel and tire combo. I want to nail mine but lack the design influence to make it look right on the 1st try. Isn't there a formula of some sort that relates wheel diameter and tire sidewall height to the car''s wheelwell?

Oh yeah!

You FILL the wheel well with tire and wheel!!

Seriously -- I have no clue - but needed to post something here so if there's a reply - I'm subscribed... because if there is such a thing - I'd like to know about it too.

Fist you need to decide how much if any you want to lower the car. Then working off the stock diam. tire see what it will take to fill or come close to filling the wheel well, and then decide what width you can squeeze in there! Once you have the diam and width narrowed down you hit a site like Tire Rack.com and see what's available in your wheel diameter and needed height and width...once that's done you simply call Jon at Driverz Inc and order them up. The most importand move here is supporting one of our sponsors!! Also, Jon has HUGE knowledge on the matter and might just be able to tell you what will fit!

Yeah, Tony has the right idea. It took me almost 2 months for stance and wheel spacing/offset. Jon at Driverz is a God send--make sure you call him when you have time and best of luck to you!! Put up pics when you are done!

I'm so lazy...I'd go over to Chevelles.com and take a look around at some photos.
