Default to stripe or not?

I am working on my 70 nova, well, more or less starting on it, and was wanting to do silver on the car with a black hood and 2 black stripes coming over the edge of the fender (similar to grand sport stripes) can someone post pics of this, and/or what are your opinions on the stripes? should I do it, or not? It's kinda like a tatoo, it's permanant, or permannent enough untill i can afford to have it resprayed..lol anyway, thanks guys!

Steve Rupp had Penny done up with a similar stripe for the Optima Challenge. That might give you an idea what it looks like on a shape other than a 'vette.
Look in the thread from the event.
Or, maybe have one of the designers work up a rendering. Ben Hermance, Jason Rushforth, Carter Hicks?

Have to agree with Eric (70RS) about hiring a designer. Thanks for the referral, Eric! I'd be glad to throw it on paper for you because as you know, it's an expensive undertaking only to find out you don't love it. Think of it as design insurance! LMK

So now do we call you an "Insurance Salesman"? I'm sorry, I had to.

Getting a rendering is a must! No Doubt About It!

No problem Jason. I had one done for me and it helped to really "get it". I mean I already had ideas in mind and looking at other cars was only good for so long. The guys that are GOOD designers like Jason, Ben and Carter (yes, I know I am forgetting many talented people. No disrespect meant) really make your idea come to life. And if you end up not liking the design you had in mind it is always easier to change on paper than on your car in paint. Not to mention MUCH cheaper too. I have a design locked in now, and for any future build I can not imagine going without a rendering. You don't build a house without blueprints right? Cheap insurance.
