Wow, finally a forum for muscle cars that can turn corners!
I'm new to here. I have a '70 Cuda that I do track days and vintage racing with. It seems I can't resist puting sway bars and bigger springs on my projects. My current project is a '40 Plymouth coupe. Suprisingly it came with a Front sway bar from the factory...only about 5/8" though. Planning to have a 1 1/4" made up. No road racing for the '40 though.
For the West Coaster's there is going to be a track day at Willow Springs Raceway on 4/15/10. Should be a lot of the old iron in attendance again this the 4th year running. Format is 3 run groups (newbies, faster, and fastest) of 15-20 cars per group, so there will be lots of open track and more than enough track time. Cost will be $275 in advance, or $325 within the 3 weeks prior to the event.
I see a lot of cars on here. Curious how many of the are in Range of So. Cal.
I'm in So. Cal...new member..69 Camaro being built now..due to finish in late March..will try to be there. It'll be close...LS3 (stroked to 416, CNC ported) with Magnacharger, T56, Art Morrison, DSE quad, Vette brakes..etc. I'm a rookie, did an Autocross and had track time at Autoclub Speedway (SRT Challenge) a few weeks ago and loved it. Let me know who I need to contact to sign up. Thanks..Mike
