Default 70 Camaro SS - potential project

Hey guys,
I have found a 70 1/2 SS350 Camaro. Posi, 4spd, 2nd owner for the past 34 years. His female cousin was the original owner. All original paperwork from new. Recent repaint to a slightly newer Z28 blue color with white stripes. 100,000 mile car fully rebuilt motor. I am not very familiar with the 2nd gen cars. Anything from the photos that looks a little off? Apparently the car did not come with the spoiler. What is it worth?

The rear spoiler is not correct. That spoiler is for the 74 and up Camaro's. That alone will make me want to look very close at the rest of the car. Still a good car to start with and if it is a SS it will make it a little more valuable. Also recent repaints can fool people easily. Hopefully they aren't hiding anything under the pretty paint.

If it is not rotted out looks like a good start.I think it would be worth about $3500.00-4000.00,You know if you build a 2nd. gen it will be faster than a 69 w/ a big block.

$22,000 for a 2nd gen doesn't give you an engine bay that looks like it sat in bubba's corn fields for 20 years

We like to call this BarrettJackson'itus.
He's seen way too many episodes of the Clone Wars to really know WTF he has.
That cars probably worth half that if he's lucky.

that seems high to me.. its going to be a hard sell with that color combo anyway, and somebody bribed an appraiser to get a number like 28K..

That sounds about right.. Nicely restored but non SS bring 12-20k average. If it is matching numbers then paying $25k+ maybe worth it in the long run.. I personally would not pay more than 10k for this car.. The prices of these cars are going up... Anything around $3500 or less is going to be a major project in many cases...

I think you can find a much nicer car for that price. I'm not calling this one a piece of junk, but I think the price is way high for the condition.
