Default 1985 Monte Carlo SS - Colorado

It's time to sell my SS. I've had it for 19 years so it's time to let it go.
I'm going to put it up on the Denver Craigslist this weekend so if you or anyone you know on the Front range is looking for a nice one let me know.
Here's how the ad will appear:

1985 Monte Carlo SS. $6800

White with Maroon interior. Bucket seats, Console, A/C, Tilt Wheel and Tinted Glass.
305 V8 (L69) with 200-4R (CZF) transmission. 7.625 10 bolt non-posi. 155K miles.

This is not a beater. Good, solid and dependable. Everything is there plus some extras.
I’ve had the car since May, 1991 so I know it pretty well inside and out. I’ve kept up all the maintenance since I’ve had it; if something needed replaced, repaired or serviced I took care of it. I drive it at least once every week or 2. I took it to Chama, NM (900 miles) in June, 2007 after the motor was done. It was my daily driver till September, 2007. No snow; rain a couple of times since the recent paint work (12/08). I have a copy of the original Dealer’s Invoice, Owner’s and Shop manuals, and the GM Restoration Package.

Please, Serious Inquiries Only, No Trades.

Work done since 125K miles:
1. Body bushings (all 7 ea. side), motor and transmission mounts replaced)
2. Suspension, Steering and Brake parts replaced or upgraded:
a. Front – Hotchkis springs, SC&C Stage II and frame brace *, Lee PS box, ’01 2WD
Blazer spindles with 2 piston calipers, GM pads and hardware, Energy Suspension
polyurethane swaybar bushings and end links, ZQ8 Jounce bumpers, GM – Lower
Control Arms with bushings and ball joints, steering shaft and center link, Moog
Problem Solver – inner and outer tie rod ends, sleeves and idler arm, Bilstein shocks
and GM brake hoses
b. Rear –Global West 1.5” springs, Energy Suspensions 1” sway bar, GM – Upper and
lower control arms with bushings, frame brace, and Bilstein shocks
c. Rear brakes – GM shoes, hose and hardware
d. Brake Master cylinder and Dual diaphragm booster
3. 2 1/4” Cat-back exhaust, Flowmaster mufflers and CATCO catalytic converter
4. 700R4 TCC switch, 3rd / 4th gear switch and B&M transmission pan drain plug
5. ’01 GM Monsoon cassette stereo and factory12 disc changer, Alpine speakers - 5.25”
front (w/ CSII door panels) and 6”x 9” rears
6. ’88 ECM / PROM
7. Sylvania SilverStar low beams
8. Engine - Rebuilt w/Comp Cam, springs, retainers, pushrods and lifters, GM valve
seals, balanced, 0.030 over, (150K - 9/07)
9. Paint and Body work:
a. Both doors repainted with base / clear coat. Lower panels on driver’s door replaced.
b. Trunk lid replaced and lid and spoiler repainted base / clear coat
c. Left ¼ panel repainted base / clear coat
d. Door hinges and pins replaced with new GM parts
e. Weatherstrip around and on doors replaced with new GM parts
f. Silver door and trunk logos (have original GM red door logos and spoiler bowtie)
10. Wheels and tires – 235/60R15 BFG Radial TA’s (5K miles) with ‘86-‘88 SS
aluminum wheels with center caps and chrome lug nuts / locks
11. New radiator, water pump, clutch fan, hoses and belts
12. New headliner, floor mats and front seat inserts
13. Emissions test done 4/08: I live in an area now where we don’t have E-Tests but I will have it done before you buy it according to State law.

* SC&C parts (look under 78-88 G Body): http://scandc.com/productsbymodel.htm

Some not as good:
The driver’s seat has a tear in the vinyl on the left side and a cigarette burn in the insert the top of the rear seat back is faded but there has been window tint to protect it all these years. I have enough of the ’85 cloth to redo all of the inserts. There is surface rust around the windshield, ¼ and rear windows. The nose has scuffs and scratches. The timing cover seal has a small seep.

Serious Inquiries Only, No Trades. $6800. Larry.

If you're interested, and out of state, and would like someone local here to check it out that'd be fine. I also have it up on RacingJunk.

Well that sucks. Never had that problem before. I can send them to ya in an email if you want to see them. Or try Pro-Touring, I just tried them there and they work. Wierd.
