Default 350 Power Combo

I have a couple of questions for my crate 350 in my 67 Camaro. I want to add a little life to it and was planning on doing an Edelbrock Performer RPM top end kit. I have the intake manifold and carb on it already, but I need the heads and cam. I was wondering could use a non centerbolt valve cover type head with a 350 that currently has centerbolt valve cover heads? I believe it's a post '86 style 350. Does that mean a hydraulic roller cam? Has anyone done this swap, and what kind of power gains on a stock 350 could I plan for? Also, I'm open for suggestions if someone has them for a different set-up. Bear in mind that this car serves as a daily driver for about 4-5 days a week.
